US Navy tests worlds first drone-destroying laser

Meet the worlds first drone-destroying laser. It can silently strike an unmanned drone overhead at the speed of light. The Laser Weapons System (LaWS) was tested on board the USS Ponce amphibious transport ship. This electricity-powered system is charged by a small generator. Fiancee of Australian woman fatally shot by police says family is desperate for answers

The fiancee of an Australian Justine Ruszczyk, also known as Justine Damond, who was fatally shot by Minneapolis police over the weekend said he and his family are desperate for information about the case, during a news conference on Monday (July 17).Ruszczyk had called 911 over a strange noise behind her home, but was shot dead when police arrived. The probe into her shooting turned, on Monday , to why the officers body cameras were not on at the time. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges and the American Civil Liberties Union called for answers on why responding officers failed to turn on their body cameras when they arrived at the home of Ruszczyk in a quiet, upper-middle-class neighbourhood shortly before midnight Saturday.Police shot Ruszczyk, originally of Sydney, through the door of their patrol car as she approached them in an alley near her home, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, the state BCA said. Parents claim R Kelly is holding their daughters in an abusive cult

A BuzzFeed News report came out on 17 July, 2017 accusing R and amp;B singer R. Kelly of holding six women against their will - in what has been described as a cult. According to the report, parents of three young women accuse R. Kelly of predatory behavior towards their daughters, dictating every aspects of their lives. Three former members of the singers entourage back up these allegations, saying that Kelly decides what they eat, how they dress, when they sleep and how they engage in sexual encounters. The women also have their phones confiscated so they cant communicate with family and friends, and are punished if they break any of these rules. R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet, but Robert is the devil, a woman who used to live with him told BuzzFeed. Despite the claims, all women living there say theyre fine, and a couple go further to say they dont want to be bothered. Several of the womens parents have gone to the police to try to get their daughters back, but no arrests have been made - since theyre all of legal age and have claimed theyre not being held against their will.
