Actor Shia LaBeouf hurled abusive slurs at police officers during his arrest in Savannah, Georgia, in the early hours of Saturday, July 8.Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said the 31-year-old Transformers star approached them for a cigarette. He became agitated after his request was turned down and he was asked to leave the area. LaBeouf then ran towards the Andaz Hotel after an officer tried to handcuff him, local media reported.LaBeouf was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction, and public intoxication and has been released on bail. Kurdish fighters say British citizen killed fighting Islamic State

Rare footage shows Hiroshima 10 years before it was obliterated by nuclear bomb

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum released digitally remastered footage on July 6 that shows Hiroshima in April 1935, 10 years before a U.S. nuclear bomb was dropped on the city toward the end of the Second World War.The rare video, said to have been donated to the museum in 1963, shows everyday scenes along the Motoyasu River, including the Aioi Bridge, the intended target of the atomic bomb. Video shows aftermath of fatal mid-air military plane explosion and crash

16 people have been killed after a KC-130 crashed Monday (July 10) in Moorhead, Mississippi, confirmed Fred Randle, Leflore County Emergency Management Agency Director. The military KC-130 is used as a refueling tanker. Randle told reporters at a late briefing that 16 bodies had been recovered after the KC-130 spiralled into the ground about 85 miles (135km) north of Jackson in the Mississippi Delta. 100 companies responsible for more than 70% of global emissions

According to a new CDP report, just 100 companies are the source of over 70% of emissions. Since 1988, more than half of all global industrial emissions were produced by 25 corporate and state-owned entities.
