They are despicable, violent extremists: German Interior Minister compares G20 protesters to Islamic terrorists

German Interior Minister Thomas De Maiziere has compared violent protesters at the recent G20 summit in Hamburg to neo-Nazis and Islamic terrorists. The summit was marred with large scale protests, with reports of clashes with police taking place throughout. Minneapolis police officer shoots two Staffordshire Bull Terriers in owners backyard

A familys surveillance cameras have captured the moment a Minneapolis police officer shot and injured two dogs in their backyard. Jennifer LeMay posted the video on Facebook. It appears to show the police officer enter her backyard on July 8 and look around, before drawing his firearm and shooting two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Both animals were taken to a vet, and are expected to survive. The Minneapolis Police Department is now investigating the incident. Jul 11, 2017

London cyclists have ride ruined by young thugs pushing bike into road

A Saturday outing for a group of cyclists in London was ruined by what was calle a ridiculous decision from a group of kids near the road.The youths pushed an old bike out into the road, in front of the cyclists, causing a painful crash that left one of the riders unable to continue.The dangerous act was captured by one of the group, who said it happened in Epping, northeast of London, on July 8. Shocking video shows woman pushed down stairs after fight with Airbnb host

The footage, taken on July 8 in Amsterdam, shows a woman falling down a flight of stairs after apparently being pushed during an argument with her AirBnb host. According to local reports, a 47-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident. Cyclists helmet cam captures shocking hit-and-run in Tennessee

Greg Goodman was biking with his friend, Tyler Noe, on a stretch of road in Franklin, Tennessee, on July 8, when a car smacked Noe and took off without stopping. Goodman wrote that he was taken to a hospital and was doing well. According to the National Park Service, 58-year-old Marshall Grant Neely III was arrested on Sunday (July 8) by the Williamson County Sheriffs Office. Jul 10, 2017

Torrential rain triggers flood and building collapse in Tibet

The persistent torrential rain triggered a building collapse in Jomda county, Qamdo Prefecture in south-west China and amp;#39;s Tibet Autonomous Region on July 8. All residents of the building had been evacuated before the collapse and no casualties have been reported.The collapse happened in the wake of the sharply increased water level of Ziqu river in the county. The water washed away the foundation of the building and eventually caused it to collapse and be carried away by the flood.According to local government, the rain that started to fall in June stopped as of July 10. But the long-period of rainfall had already destroyed 24 bridges and damaged 57.8km of stretches in total across 67 rural highways. Jul 10, 2017

A large fire broke out at Londons Camden Lock market in the early hours on 10 July. At least 10 fire engines and more than 70 firefighters were deployed to the blaze, which was burning on the first, second and third floors as well as the roof, according to London Fire Brigade. Jul 10, 2017

Iraqi PM Haider al Abadi arrives in Mosul as victory is declared over Isis

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in Mosul to congratulate Iraqi forces for their victory against Isis. Iraqi security forces raised the national flag in the ruins of Mosuls Old City on July 9. The victory comes with a heavy toll on the Iraqi army with forces suffering 40% losses in the battle. Large parts of Mosul lie in ruins after eight months of fighting. Thousands of civilians were killed in clashes between Iraqi armed forces and Isis militants and more than one million of the citys inhabitants were displaced. Firefighter rescuing exhausted fawn from drainpipe

Italian firefighters rescued a fawn after it had become stuck in a drainpipe. The exhausted animal was given water to help it perk up. A firefighter had to be lowered down into the drain to rescue the fawn. It was then taken to a vet for treatment. Jul 9, 2017

A British Transport Police officer received a surprise proposal during Londons Pride Parade on July 8. The officer was shocked when her girlfriend pulled out a ring during the festivities. Venezuelas best-known jailed opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez has been granted house arrest after three years in prison. The 46-year-old appeared over joyous, waving the Venezuelan flag at his home. Crowds of supporters gathered outside the walled-in complex to cheer him on. Serving a 14-year sentence, Lopez would make a popular opposition presidential candidate.
