Rupert Sanders has finally opened up about his affair with Kristen Stewart. In July 2012, it was revealed that the Twilight star had a relationship with the married Snow White and the Huntsman director.
The affair news broke out after US Weekly published pictures of the two kissing in the Hollywood hills. The British director has now talked about the scandal to Metro: "You never know what's coming in life. Around every corner there's something unexpected, and that's life."
He added: "You just have to brush yourself off and continue moving forward the best you can. Everyone makes mistakes. I am bound to make more mistakes, and I wouldn't expect my life to be exciting if I didn't."
Sanders had previously apologized for his affair with Stewart, saying: "I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
Following the scandal, the two split from their respective partners. Robert Pattinson ended his romance with Stewart, and Sanders' wife, actress-model Liberty Ross (who played the role of Queen Eleanor, Stewart's mother in Snow White and the Huntsman) filed for divorce from him.
