75th Golden Globe Award

The list of nominees for the 75th Golden Globe Awards has been announced. The Hollywood industry is gearing up for the much-awaited annual event amid allegations of sexual harassment against well-known figures of the industry. Golden Globe, has been reigning since1944. It is an accolade honored by 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The jury recognizes the excellence of the movies in both domestic and foreign box office. The annual ceremony doesn't  share any voters in common with the motion picture academy that decides Oscars.

This year TV shows like 'The Handmaid Tale', 'Big Little Lies', 'Feud: Bette and Joan' are dominating the awards list. Movies such as 'The shape of Water', 'The Post', 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing' and 'Lady Bird' has received many nominations.

'The Big Sick' that was counted as one of the top 10 movies of the Year by the American Film Institute, didn't earn a single nomination. Romantic drama 'Call Me By Your Name' has only been nominated for the Best Film Drama category.

This year Seth Meyers will host the 75th Golden Globe Awards. The Awards Ceremony will be airing live on January 7, 2018, from Beverly Hilton Hotel
