Korean actress Kim Sun-a has played a dozen of roles throughout her career but among them, it was the hit drama "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" that catapulted her to fame.

Aired in 2005, "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" starred Kim Sun-a and Hyun Bin in a romantic comedy plot that became a ratings hit, drawing 50.5 percent for its finale.

12 years later, people still remember the drama and Kim Sun-a for playing the title role of a baker.

"I think it's really amazing how after so many years, a lot of people still remember the lines and the scenes. They say that it still makes them excited and it makes me feel a little that way too. It was a huge honor to act in it and it's what you would call a once-in-a-lifetime kind of drama," said the 44-year-old actress.

She revealed that she was able to get rid of the pressure from duplicating the success of "My Name is Kim Sam Soon."

"I don't anymore. I overcame it somehow. At some point, I began to think I should just carry [the weight of the drama] around with me, and I became very comfortable with it," she added.

After the drama, she starred in "Night After Night," "City Hall," "Scent of a Woman," "I Do, I Do" and "The Man in the Mask."

This year, she reaped success when she starred in the JTBC drama "Woman of Dignity," which became the channel's highest-rated drama and one of the highest on Korean cable TV.

When asked which episode made a deep impact on her, Kim Sun-a said, "In the fourth episode, there was a line where I say, 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,' because of a cat. Bok Ja is a person who thought of her cat as her own child, and I think she said it because she thought that [the family] needed to know what it feels like to have their child kicked out."

She also revealed that she made a bucket list, saying, "Recently, I decided to challenge myself and made a bucket list of things that I really want to do and experience. I'm a pretty shy person and didn't like talking to new people or going to new places, but after [completing things on my bucket list], I think it's fun to do those things now."
