Iraqi girl is reunited with her family three years after Isis kidnapping

A girl has been reunited with her family after being kidnapped by Isis three years ago. Iraqi security forces freed the almost six-year-old Christina Abada in west Mosul. Christina was taken from her Iraqi Christian family by an Isis fighter in August 2014. The family had been round up with other Christians when the militants captured Mosul. For the last three years the parents only heard rumours Christina was still alive. The girl appeared well looked after and was even wearing gold earrings. She seemed overwhelmed by the crowd gathered to greet her. Jun 10, 2017

Protesters dump raw sardines outside Greek parliament in protest against fishy austerity measures

Greek protesters dumped several boxes of raw sardines outside the Greek parliament. Members of a communist-backed labour union threw the crates at police and lawmakers. The fishy protest was meant to be a sign against austerity measures in a fisheries bill. The austerity measures were tacked to a bill protecting living marine resources. Heroic police officers rescue puppy choking on cheese

A body camera has captured two heroic police officers in action. Officer Jon OGuin and Sgt. Jim Edison successfully resuscitated a small dog. The dog had stopped breathing and the officers spotted its panicked owner. Even though they were in the area to recover a stolen car, they immediately took action. In great team effort, they managed to dislodge a piece of cheese from the dogs windpipe. The pup is expected to make a full recovery. Jun 10, 2017

Woman distracted by phone seriously injured in basement fall

CCTV footage shows the moment a woman was seriously injured falling through open bilco doors. The 67-year-old woman stumbled and fell after being distracted by her phone. She fell six feet into the basement of a window pane store and had to be taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Local reports say she is now in stable condition. Police ask public for information on London Bridge attack knives

Londons Metropolitan Police has released more details about the London Bridge terror attack. Police appealed to the public for information about were the knives used by the terrorists to attack pedestrians at London Bridge and Borough Market were bought. The ceramic knives used are branded Ernesto,were sold by German discounter Lidl and measure 12 inches in length. Images taken by police also shows the inside of the van used in the attack. May says sorry to MPs who lost seats after election debacle

UK Prime Minister Theresa May said in an interview she feels sorry for MPs of the Conservative party who lost their seats after she called the snap election which led to the party losing 13 seats. Chinese exam authorities use High Tech to catch cheaters taking college exam

Chinese education authorities are using high tech for the Gaokao exam,  the annual college entrance test that many believe could lead to lucrative jobs. High school students have reportedly been cheating by using wireless devices over the years. In 2017, exam centers used metal detectors, wireless detectors and even drones to deter cheating. 9.4 million students took the exam this year.If caught, cheaters can face up to 7 years in jail. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson urged for calm and an ease to the blockade imposed against Qatar by the Arab nations. He said the diplomatic row was causing unintended humanitarian consequences like food shortages, the forced separation of families and children being pulled out of school. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain and the Western-recognised governments of Libya and Yemen as well as the Maldives cut ties with Doha on 5 June, accusing it of supporting terror groups, including the Islamic State.
