On 8 June the UK heads to the polls for a general election, to decide who will run the government and be in charge during the Brexit negotiations. Two arrested after McDonalds brawl over late McChicken Sandwich

A 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have both been arrested, after a violent brawl in an Iowa McDonalds on 3 June. The video, shot by Amanda Garland Gravely who was waiting at the drive-through, shows a woman throwing objects at the McDonalds manager, before climbing over the counter and getting into a fight. Chaos in Middle East after Gulf nations cut ties with Qatar

Supermarket shelves are empty in the Qatar capital Doha. People are storing up large quantities of food water after several Arab nations recently cut ties with Qatar, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen. These nations accuse Qatar of supporting terrorism. Qatar relies on its Gulf neighbors for 80% of its food imports. Iran has called for dialogues to resolve the conflict and has sent food supplies to Qatar. The rift also led to the suspension of all flights between Qatar and its Gulf neighbors. Angry customers lined up outside of the Qatar Airways office to demand refunds. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has taken the credit for the split. Jun 7, 2017

Candlelight vigil in Hong Kong commemorates 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown

Thousands attended a candlelight vigil to commemorate the victims of the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown in Beijing. On June 4, 1989, the Chinese government deployed troops to crackdown on pro-democracy, student-led protests. It is estimated that hundreds, if not thousands, were killed that day, although Chinese authorities have yet to release an official death toll. Organizers estimated that 110,000 gathered for the vigil, while police estimated only 18,000 took part. Hong Kong is one of the few places under Chinese control that such commemorations are allowed. Nearly three decades later, any public commemoration of the protests is still banned on the Chinese mainland. Man attacks police officer with a hammer in Paris: This Is For Syria

A man was shot after he attacked a police officer next to Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. Eyewitness Kyle Riches shot video of the man lying on the ground after being shot. The man attacked a police officer with a hammer, yelling This is for Syria during the attack. The officer suffered minor injuries. The suspect was wounded in the chest. Jun 7, 2017

Chinese zoo shown throwing live donkey into tiger enclosure

A horrifying video shows Chinese zoo keepers pushing a helpless donkey into the moat of a tiger enclosure. The terrified animal can be seen clinging on as workers push it down a ramp and off a steep ledge into a tiger compound. According to Chinese media reports, a zoo official said that the incident was the result of an internal dispute with a shareholder, who was stopped from selling off some animals, including the donkey, so fed it to the tigers instead. He condemned the attackers, calling them sick and evil extremists and saying London would never be broken by terrorism.In Britain and amp;#39;s third Islamist attack in as many months, three men rammed a van into pedestrians on London Bridge in the late evening on Saturday (June 3) before running into the bustling Borough Market area, where they slit throats and stabbed people indiscriminately.All three attackers were shot dead by police, who made at least a dozen arrests in east London on Sunday (June 4) and carried out further raids on Monday morning. Orlando shooter who killed five was disgruntled employee says sheriff

A man fired from his warehouse job in April returned to his old workplace near Orlando on Monday (June 5) and fatally shot five people before killing himself. The 45-year-old suspect had a history of misdemeanor criminal offenses but was not linked to any terror organizations, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said at a press briefing. Demings added, [The attacker] was a disgruntled employee that came back to this business this morning. The unidentified assailant arrived at the company that makes accessories for recreational vehicles and campers, at about 8 a.m. local time armed with a handgun and a knife. Jun 6, 2017
