Paintball fire

Two people were missing and feared dead after a massive fire ripped through the Special Ops Desert Storm Paintball warehouse in St. Helens, England, just after 5:00 pm on Monday, July 3.Part of the roof of the building has collapsed and a nearby factory has been evacuated while the Merseyside Fire and Rescue department continue to battle the blaze. Mexican mayor weds crocodile called The Princess

Huamelula Victor Aguilar, mayor of San Pedro, married the crocodile in a traditional symbolic ceremony on June 30. Yang Niu the baby elephant was caught on video Thursday (June 29) sliding down a muddy hill.The footage was caught by her keeper from the Asian elephant breeding and rescue centre in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, located in southwest Chinas Yunnan Province.Yang Niu was sent to the breeding centre two years ago when villagers found her abandoned and injured in the wild. UNICEF reunite separated mother and son after they fled Islamic State

A mother and son have been reunited after being separated while fleeing the Islamic States grip in Mosul, Iraq.Mohammed Mowaffaq was only a young boy when he was forced to flee his home. His mother, Wathha Hadifah, worried for her son in the besieged city and believed it was time for Mohammed to flee their Tanak neighborhood.Mohammeds father, a driver, was killed three years earlier after being suspected of smuggling people out of Mosul.Mohammed eventually escaped and three months later , his mother was able to flee with the rest of her young family while barefoot and in the cold – but Wathha had no idea if her son made it out alive.This is a common occurrence in war-torn Iraq. Since 2014, more than 4,650 children have become separated or are unaccompanied by their families in Iraq, according to UNICEF.The family was later reunited by UNICEF and do not plan to return to Mosul. Brazilian drug lord who used plastic surgery to change looks arrested after 30 years on the run

A Brazilian drug lord has been arrested after three decades on the run. Luiz Carlos da Rocha  was one of South Americas biggest cocaine kingpins. He is said to have amassed a personal fortune of $100m (£77m). 150 police agents carried out 24 raids and seized $10m worth of the drug lords assets, including planes, properties and luxury cars. Fire erupts at block of flats near east Londons Bethnal Green

A large fire has engulfed a new block of flats in London. 80 firefighters and twelve fire engines tried to contain the blaze. The building was vacant at the time of the fire. Fatal blaze destroys refugee camp in Lebanon

A big fire has destroyed large parts of a Syrian refugee camp in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Local news reports one child was killed and several other people injured. Thick black smoke rose from the blaze, destroying more than 100 tents. The cause of the fire is not yet known. At least one million Syrian refugees fled to Lebanon, often living in informal settlements. Jul 2, 2017

Video shows toxic foam floating on Yamuna river

A thick layer of foam on the Yamuna river has sparked new pollution concerns. The river has been the center of a number of environmental controversies. Pollution levels have spiked in the last six years as sewage and industrial waste flows into the river despite a ban on these practices.
