After much speculations and hype, actors Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin have confirmed their relationship. The couple revealed they are in a relationship for the past two years and now they have decided to go public.
Namoo Actors, which manages both stars, confirmed the dating news. It stated "Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin met as colleagues through a drama in 2014, and when the first dating rumor report was released, they were good friends at the time."
The note added: "However, the two progressed into a dating relationship sometime during the beginning of 2016. They had a lot of similarities as friends and became interested in each other, but they spent a long time confirming those feelings, which is why they are carefully dating. Please look upon these two actors fondly as they continue their activities."
Lee, 35, and Jeon, 34, worked together for the 2014 KBS 2TV historical drama series Joseon Gunman. Singer-actor Lee has starred in television series like Iljimae, Arang and the Magistrate, Scholar Who Walks The Night, and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. His portrayal as the fearsome 4th Prince, Wang So, in Scarlet Heart Ryeo had brought him international fame and fans.
According to AllKPop, Lee is likely to star in the Korean remake of Criminal Minds this year. However, he has also expressed his desire to star in a full-fledged romantic comedy soon.
"I don't get any offers for romantic comedies. I get a lot of hero fantasy projects. Because I've done a lot of action scenes, I think my image as an actor has become set as an action star in the eyes of many," he was quoted by Soompi.
Jeon Hye-bin is the former member of the short-lived three-member girl group LUV. She is known for her roles in On Air, Yaksha, My Love By My Side, Queen Insoo, and Queen of the Office. She was cast as Choi Hye-won in the 2014 drama series Gunman in Joseon.
