Action star Jackie Chan's relationship with his estranged girlfriend and daughter is refusing to die down. Recently, a section of the media reported that Chan's estranged daughter Etta Ng was hospitalised in Hong Kong after an alleged suicide attempt. Etta was born to Jackie and Elaine after a short extra-marital affair.
Ng along with her mother left for Thailand last week for a holiday but the teenager cut short the vacation and returned to Hong Kong secretly. Reportedly, she checked into a hospital soon after landing. Ng's relationship with her mother, which has always been on a roller coaster ride, is said to be the reason for her stress. Weeks ago, Ng called the police to arrest her own mother after an intimidation between the two. However, this was not the first time Ng is accusing her mother of physical abuse. Earlier in 2015, she put forward a similar accusation.
Following this, an old interview with the action star has been popped up. In the interview, Chan has made a bold confession that he was forced to marry his wife of 35 years, Joan Lin after the later became pregnant with his child. He also revealed that he was dating many women during his youthful days and the romance between him and Lin died down long back.
"It was an accident which conceived Jaycee (his first son). I have never thought of getting married, but I felt it was akin to being forced to get married," AsiaOne quoted the actor. He further stated that he married Lin for the sake of his child's future.
Meanwhile, another accusation of Chan not supporting his daughter Ng has also evolved after the incident. Interestingly, a few weeks back, Elaine and her lawyer Mary Jean Reimer addressed the press and claimed that Ng hasn't received a penny yet from father Jackie despite facing constant financial difficulties. Chan's close friend and producer Tiffany Chen later defended the action star and revealed that he is "a man of affection who has cried over his love child, Etta Ng, many times."
