South Korean actor Yoo Seung Ho has revealed some shocking details about his acting career. The 23-year-old artist, who rose to fame as a child actor in the 2002 film The Way Home, did not like his life in the spot light.
During an interview with E Daily, he said: "I had a friend in my town who was a kid model. I was 5-years-old at the time. I was recommended (modeling) for a children's fashion catalog. So I did and then I found myself filming CFs, dramas, and movies. Honestly, I didn't want to do it. My parents didn't enjoy it much either. But our family wasn't doing very well and I kept receiving job offers so I just continued on."
"I was like that up to my middle and high school days but I couldn't give up. I knew I've crossed a river that I couldn't go back and I felt like I can no longer return to the way things were."
"So I ran away to the military. I had a lot of thoughts about my job and life. Then in the military, I realized that this is my path," he added.
Fortunately, Seung Ho does not regret taking up career over education. He said: Not at all. There's a part that people don't know. I didn't go to college because I didn't want to study. (laugh)"
