The month of May will be extremely hectic for four popular K-pop artists from YG Entertainment as they are planning to go big with their respective projects.
The agency said boy band WINNER will continue their promotions, Sechs Kies will focus on live performances and iKON and Psy will be making their comeback.
WINNER
WINNER released their album "Fate Number For" on April 4 and will continue performing on TV until the end of the month. They decided to extend their promotions to make up for their long absence before making a comeback.
Minho will be appearing on the tvN show "New Journey to the West" this month but will also join WINNER's performances. "Song Minho's schedule is more hectic than the other members, because of 'New Journey to the West' show. However, he decided to carry out both schedules as much as possible. He made such decision for WINNER," according to YG Entertainment.
WINNER went on hiatus for one year and two months before releasing the new album. Moreover, member Taehyun left the group last year because of mental health problems and WINNER was left with four members.
iKON
Boy band iKON will be making their comeback since releasing the single "#WYD" in May last year. iKON held a concert tour in Japan in 2016 and they're planning to make a Japan dome tour this year.
YG Entertainment unveiled a teaser poster of iKON's on May 1 to hint that their comeback is imminent. For their new album, the idol group will be releasing double title tracks that were written by members.
iKON won the New Artist of the Year in the 31st Japan Golden Disc Awards.
Sechs Kies
Veteran boy band Sechs Kies released their "20th Anniversary" album on April 28, which took the No. 1 spot on real-time music charts.
They will be performing on MBC's "Show! Music Center" on May 6 and on SBS' "Inkigayo" on May 7.
Psy
Korean rapper Psy will be making his comeback with a new album on May 10. His last album "Chiljip Psy-da" was released in December 2015.
Psy became a worldwide sensation following his viral song "Gangnam Style" released in 2012.
Singer Son Na-eun will be appearing in Psy's new music video following the footsteps of Ga-in and Hyuna.
