Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has rolled out the Android 8.0 beta program for the Galaxy S8 phones around the world. First to receive variants in countries like the United Kingdom and South Korea.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will soon be getting the official Android 8.0 update as the first phase of the beta test has begun in North America, United Kingdom and South Korea. The US, however, is not included in the program until Tuesday, October 31.

Although the release date is still unconfirmed, the second phase will commence soon in India, France, Germany, Poland, Spain and China. There are no details yet as to when exactly it will roll out in these countries.
Samsung started work on the Android 8.0 Oreo beta program for Galaxy S8 in September. More international markets are expected to be included in the list. Interested Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus owners can register in the program through the Samsung Members app.

The final and official Android 8.0 Oreo update is expected to be released by the first quarter of 2018. Apart from the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, confirmed Samsung devices to get the update are Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Active, 2017 versions of Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5, Galaxy Note FE (refurbished Galaxy Note 7), Galaxy C9 or C7 Pro, Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab S3.
