Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been presumed in the works as the Galaxy S8 began to hit the shelves in April. While the next-generation phablet is expected to regain the glory that the Galaxy Note once had through killer features, new reports suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 will still inherit some designs of the Galaxy S8, including the display's aspect ratio.

The Galaxy Note 8 is reportedly sporting the 18:5.9 display ratio of its predecessor, according to a report from South Korean media Newsis. According to the publication's sources, the tech titan is now in the final stages of deciding which features are going to make it.

Samsung is also expected to debut the dual camera technology on the Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy S8 variants have the so-called "dual-pixel" in a single lens. As for the S pen, there has been no available information at the moment whether Samsung is giving it a bump or not.

Previous Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumours suggest the device could use a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge Infinity display in 4K resolution. No phone manufacturer offers this technology yet. However, Sony's recent Xperia phones have cameras capable of 4K resolution.

An onscreen fingerprint scanner also made rounds recently following the backlash brought by the placement of the button at the back panel in Galaxy S8. With the popularity the augmented reality draws these days, Samsung might step up its game by bringing in a support for this technology through a dual-camera setup.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted the Galaxy Note 8 will carry a 13-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. Both lenses comprise the dual camera which has a photodiode capability for low-light situations.

Samsung is slated to make a public announcement for the Galaxy Note 8 around August and September in time for the IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany.
