The former 2NE1 member, Minzy, has reportedly collaborated with Jay Park for her solo album under the label Music Works. However, the team said that they are yet to take a call on the album. "It's true that [Minzy] recorded a song with Jay Park. But we only have a recorded song, and nothing besides that has been confirmed. We are simply in the preliminary stages of preparing for her solo album," said the label, according to AllKPop.
Last month, 2NE1's final single 'Goodbye' featuring CL, Park Bom, and Sandara Park was released. Minzy was shocked to learn about the teaser release through a news article. The singer, who has already left the group to pursue her solo career, expressed her disappointment in an Instagram post and said: "It's a shame that I had to find out 2NE1 will be releasing their final album through a news article. This is very unfortunate as I was previously a member of the group 2NE1, but I share the same feelings as the other members in wanting to show appreciation and bid farewell to everyone for all their love and support of 2NE1," as translated by PopCrush.
2NE1's last album was released almost two years ago -- Crush, in 2014 and it last performed together as a three-member band at the 2015 Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA).
Meanwhile, Minzy has postponed her solo album to concentrate on her reality show Sisters' Slam Dunk. The second season has Kim Sook and Hong Jin Kyung returning to the show along with Kang Ye Won, Hang Chae Young, Hong Jin Young and Minzy. Fans are curious to see the performance of the new cast, especially because Kang Ye Won, Han Chae Young and Minzy do not appear on variety shows often.
