In a recent interview, musician Psy revealed about how he begged actor Lee Byung Hun to make an appearance in his MV video. "When Lee Byung Hun was young, he used to breakdance. I saw him dance a while ago and had been begging him to appear in a music video ever since. Actually, I was the first to ever request him to dance," Psy was quoted saying.
Well, Psy was successful in persuading Lee and their MV has become an overnight sensation across the globe. Now, there are reports that Lee is all set to make his comeback soon. Lee Byung Hun's agency BH Entertainment has confirmed that the actor has been approached to play a key role in an upcominHollywoodod flick title Radiance and he is seriously reviewing it. The report further added that Lee also had a discussion with the film's production company Mendy Pictures and is currently waiting for the casting of other actors. His proposed role is that of a CEO of an organisation.
According to Korean media, Radiance is a hi-tech action-thriller that centres around a highly trained operative First Lady, who gets kidnapped and fights against a terror group to save her family.
Lee is a renowned name in the Hollywood circle. He is known for portraying Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra in 2009 and its sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation. He also starred alongside Bruce Willis in Red 2. and portrayed T-1000 in Terminator Genisys. He was the first South Korean actor to present an Oscar at the annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In Korea, some of his notable works are Joint Security Area, A Bittersweet Life, The Good, the Bad, the Weird, television series Iris, I Saw the Devil, and Masquerade.
Lee's last release at the box office was in February—Single Rider where he played the role of a promising fund manager Kang Jae-hoon. He is currently busy with two Korean projects—Namhansanseong Fortress and My World Only.
