Korean boy band BTS's "DNA" music video reached 100 million views in record time.

"DNA," the lead single of the band's "Love Yourself: Her" album, set the new record for a K-pop group on the evening of October 12,  just 24 days after the video was uploaded on YouTube on September 18.

With the feat, BTS erased the previous record set by girl group Black Pink whose "As If It's Your Last" reached 100 million views in 46 days.

Before it garnered 100 million views, "DNA" already broke records for being the first K-pop music video to have garnered 10 million views as soon as it was uploaded. "DNA" has 101.5 million views as of press time.

The album is BTS's most successful not only in terms of sales but in terms of music charts in Korea and worldwide. "Love Yourself: Her" set K-pop group records when it debuted at number seven on Billboard 200, the highest rank for a K-pop artist.

"DNA" also debuted at number 85 on Billboard Hot 100 and rose to number 67 thus setting a record. The song has spent three weeks on the Billboard chart with the latest being at number 87 for the period ending on October 21.

Entering the Billboard Hot 100 was BTS's dream and they achieved it this time.

"Whenever we're asked about our goals, we say that we want to enter in the Hot 100. But a lot of albums have to be sold and our music has to be streamed a lot. And there's also the radio play factor so it isn't easy"Suga previously said.

In addition, the album is also in its third week on Billboard 200. It has now ranked 35th from 25th in the previous week.

With their TV promotions last month, BTS has won eight TV music chart trophies on "Music Bank," "Inkigayo," "M Countdown," "Show Champion" and "The Show."
