The much awaited second part of blockbuster Indian period movie Baahubali has run into trouble with the leaking of a nine-minute video of a war scene. Scenes from Baahubali 2-The Conclusion were leaked and uploaded on the social media platforms. The video has now been deleted and the police have arrested the mega budget movie's graphic designer.
The suspect, identified as Krishna Dyanand Chowdhary, was arrested by the Hyderabad Police based on the complaint filed by the filmmakers. Chowdhury is said to be working as a trainee graphic designer at the Annapoorna Studio in Hyderabad, where the editing of Baahubali 2 is underway.
"Based on a complaint, Krishna has been apprehended. He stole the video from the video editing lab and shared with his friends from Vijayawada. A mobile phone and computer used by Krishna were seized for analysis. A case has been registered under Copyrights Act and relevant sections of the IT Act." Cyber crime ACP KCS Raghuvir told The New Indian Express.
The story of Baahubali 2 has been closely guarded by the makers and sources reveal that the video was of the scene just before the mystery of "Why Katappa killed Baahubali?" It is the crux of the film with its lead actors Anushka Shetty and Prabhas. The shooting of the movie was being done under strong vigilance in order to avoid any misfortune. But, it seems all of it went in vain and the damage has been done.
Ever since director SS Rajamouli green-flagged the shoot, Baahubali 2 has been falling prey to leaks through either photos from the sets or videos. Sources said Rajamouli had banned mobile phones on the sets as precautionary measures to save his film from leaks.
Baahubali 2-The Conclusion is the sequel of Baahubali - The Beginning, which was released in 2015. Apart from Anushka Shetty and Prabhas, the film stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Sathyaraj in important characters. Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion is scheduled to release on April 28, 2017.
