Indian superstar Rajinikanth and director Pa Ranjith are once again teaming up together for Kabali 2, a sequel to Tamil action-drama Kabali that released in July.
"The best thing about Rajini sir after working with Kabali is this second opportunity that I have," Pa Ranjith told India Today referring to their new collaboration.
However, when asked about the story or character of the new film, Ranjith said: "It's too early to talk about the story or the role that I have in mind for him."
Meanwhile, a new member has been added to the team of the Kabali duo. Dhanush, Rajinikanth's son-in-law, joined the team as the producer of the upcoming film.
"If Dhanush's Wunderbar Films is known for its set of realistic films, then Rajini is known for his simplicity," Ranjith added.
Dhanush took to his Twitter account to reveal the good news. The film will be released under the banner of Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.
Kabali was a Malaysia based movie where Rajinikanth played the character of a don who comes to the rescue of Malaysian Tamils while changing the wrong things done against him and his family.
