Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk became close friends while acting alongside each other in MBC's drama 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.' Viewers didn't fail to notice that they had a good chemistry with each other, off-screen as well, which made many K-drama fans wish that the actors become a couple in real life. It seems some fans have finally found evidence to prove that the two are more than just friends in reality.
As reported by website Allkpop, actress Lee Sung-kyung had uploaded a photo on her Instagram profile, from a Coldplay concert which was held in South Korea on April 15 and 16. The photo shows a blurry image of a man, probably dancing to a Coldplay song. The face of the person isn't visible, but he is rumoured to be none other than Nam Joo-hyuk, Sung-kyung's co-star in 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.' See the photo here.
Fans who had seen the photo immediately pointed out that the mysterious man in the photo is wearing the same type of shirt that Nam Joo-hyuk was seen wearing in a photo he uploaded on his Instagram profile, on December 8, 2016. What made the whole thing even more suspect is that Lee Sung-kyung immediately deleted the photo once netizens began commenting that the blurry man in Nam Joo-hyuk and she must be dating him.
Some of the netizens took this move by the actress as confirmation that she's in a relationship with Nam Joo-hyuk. "I think they wanted to show off their relationship but their label told them to delete it lol," "That's totally a date. All the celebrities who get wrapped up in dating rumors get busted like that," "They're totally dating," "She wouldn't delete it if he was just her friend," were some of the comments by those that saw the image, as quoted by Allkpop.
But the most important confirmation came from another netizens who attended the same concert and claimed to have seen Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk together at the event. He wrote, as quoted by Allkpop, "Who else saw Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk? I danced right next to them in g1 lol."
There hasn't been any confirmation or denial of these speculations from the actors till now. The figure in the photo could very well be somebody other than Nam Joo-hyuk. But netizens have regardless made an interesting find that they hope would prove to be true.
As for Lee Sung-kyung, the 26-year old actress said in January this year that she is more comfortable with guys than girls. She said: "For some reason, I've always just been more comfortable around guy friends. I can be a little more free and less careful with guys. Conversation is a lot more comfortable and there's a back-and-forth quality that I think fits me better."
Sung-kyung added, "On the flip side, since we're such close friends, they don't see me as a woman. I've had a lot of guy friends, but even in high school, I never had a real boyfriend," as quoted by Soompi.
So fans may be reading a bit more into a dark, blurry photo than what it actually reveals. Only time will tell.
