New JTBC drama 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soo', which started off well on 24 February, brought the small screen comeback of the lead actress of the drama, Park Bo Young. The drama which also stars Park Hyung Sik and Ji Soo drew an average nationwide audience of 3.83 per cent, according to data from Nielsen Korea, as cited by The Korea Herald, whereas 'Tomorrow With You' managed only 1.59 percent.
The drama, which is directed byLee Hyung Min, revolves around a woman, Do Bong Soon (Bo Young), who badly wants to become a delicate and an exquisite one. The other main character of Ahn Min Hyuk, played by Hyung Sik, is the CEO of a gaming company and he hides his pain underneath his cheeky demeanour. Both the characters become entangled in a murder case and ends up living together reluctantly for security purposes, according to Yibada.
Park Bo Young had a big comeback on the small screen since 2015's 'Oh My Ghostess' In between this, she took up major projects and have starred in films like 'Collective Invention' and 'You Call It Passion'.
Since the new drama, 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' has a strong female character, it is being compared to the recently concluded drama, 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo'. However, PD Lee distanced the new drama from the existing show, which was a coming-of-age story about a group of college athletes, during a promotional press conference on 22 February, Soompi reported.
The 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' not only features strong female character, unlike other romantic-comedy drama, it also features tons of bromance between the male lead stars as well.
