Less than a week after the news on iPhone X being jailbroken, most recent development in the backend reveals another exciting progress in the jailbreak landscape.
Zimperium security researcher Adam Donenfeld took Twitter on Tuesday, November 21 to announce a bad news. At the end of his tweet though is a silver lining as Donenfeld confirmed that ZiVa exploits now runs on 64-bit devices running iOS 10.3.1.

Back in August, when Donenfeld attended the Hack in the Box conference in Singapore, the infamous exploit finder previously hinted as well on the microblogging website that he might be releasing the exploit very soon "if nothing pops up".
In most recent tweet, he talked about how his exploit is challenged since Apple reordered the cache.
I'm not sure if a coincidence or not, but on iOS 10.3.1, my sysctl trick to bypass SMAP was "challenged". Apple switched the order of l1dcache and l1icache... so now the whole exploit is a little bit more messed up. Anyway... ZiVA runs on 10.3.1 :)

Despite ZiVA working on iOS 10.3.1 devices, Donenfeld is not all-out to declare that jailbreak is possible to be released anytime soon. As a matter of fact, one of his followers asked when to expect it.

But Donenfeld seems to be dodgy in his response.

Even so, fans can cross their fingers and just hope for the best.

In the meantime, the Saïgon tool for iOS 10.3.1 has been officially confirmed coming very soon. Back in October, software developer Abraham Masri put together a placeholder for the upcoming iOS 10.3.1 support on the GitHub-based page of Saïgon which confirms the iOS 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak. However, the exact release date was confirmed.
