Former One Direction star Zayn Malik reached out to Gigi Hadid after he was linked to Selena Gomez. Canadian singer Justin Bieber suggested that the former Disney star cheated on him with the British boy band member.
According to screenshots taken by fans, the rift started after Bieber threatened to make his Instagram private due to hateful comments towards his rumoured girlfriend, Sofia Richie. The original comment from Gomez apparently read: "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol. it should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you."
Bieber replied: "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love...I'm not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers."
The Come and Get It singer responded: "Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love."
The Sorry singer reportedly stated: "I cheated... Oh I forgot about you and Zayn?"
A source told Hollywood Life: "The only woman on Zayn's mind is Gigi, and he's made it clear to her as well that nothing ever happened between him and Selena. Zayn thinks the cheating rumor is ridiculous. He's only ever been friends with Selena and that's it."
In 2015, Gomez revealed she would go on a date with Malik. She told InStyle U.K: "If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him. Just kidding, but not kidding."
Adding on, the Revival singer admitted it is difficult to date. She said: "It's hard and I'm weirded out by the idea that a guy has googled me before we meet, and that has happened. I feel like I look 16 sometimes, which is a bummer because I would love to date older guys."
