American fashion model Gigi Hadid's mother is concerned about her daughter's relationship with Zayn Malik. Yolanda Foster has reportedly asked Hadid to take things slow with the former One Direction singer.
"Zayn has been talking very openly over the past couple of months about Gigi being The One and Yolanda is terrified that he's going to pop the question to her daughter, who has been really swept away by the romance," a source told Britain's Reveal magazine.
"Gigi is really torn because her mum has made it clear that she is to stop any talk of them getting engaged now, and to make sure Zayn gets the message," the insider added.
"Her view is that Gigi should give Zayn a year's trial to make sure he really is the right man for her. And only then should they even start thinking about taking the next big step," the source continued.
Rumours that Perrie Edwards' former boyfriend and Hadid are romantically involved started after the two were spotted in the same car following the American Music Awards after-party at Los Angeles' The Nice Guy club on 24 November 2015.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Victoria's Secret model and Malik had posed together during Vogue photoshoot. She gushed about working with her boyfriend to E! News at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards: "I wish I could be on set with him every day. It doesn't feel like work when he's there."
"It was really fun. We had the best time. It was an adventure to go where we shot it. He is a very good model. He's so naturally good looking," Hadid added.
