Actor Yeo Jin Goo and actress Lee Yeon Hee is confirmed to be taking up the lead roles for the upcoming drama of SBS. The Wednesday-Thursday drama's tentative title is 'Into the New World' and DIA's Jung Chaeyeon will also be starring in the drama.
On June 9, SBS confirmed that the lead characters of the said drama will be played by Yeo Jin Goo and Lee Yeon Hee. On the other hand, Jung Chaeyeon is to be playing the younger counterpart of Lee Yeon Hee - who is bright but ignorant, sociable as well as tomboyish.
Previously, MBK Entertainment confirmed that Chaeyeon would be taking up the role by stating, "We can confirm that Jung Chaeyeon was cast in the SBS drama Into the New World. We are currently working out the script details and the filming schedule. We will do our best so that the viewers can enjoy this drama. We look forward to your interest and support."
According to Soompi, the upcoming SBS drama, 'Into the New World' is a fantasy romantic drama telling the love story of two 18-year-olds. However, the girl is actually 31-year-old woman. So, the viewers can expect a potential time slip in the drama.
Reportedly, the drama is written by Lee Hee Myung, who previously known to have written "The Girl Who Sees Smells" and "Dear Fair Lady Kong Shim."
'Into the New World' is set to air after currently airing drama 'Suspicious Partner'.
