Xiaomi Mi A1 has officially been announced to be arriving in Singapore starting next week. The budget smartphone has been touted as a good alternative to expensive premium handsets without sacrificing some of the most sought-after features in a phone.
Xiaomi will be dropping the Mi A1 device in Little Red Dot on October 14. The phone's price starts at SG$349 (US$256) only.

The latest smartphone of the Chinese mobile phone maker comes to Singapore a month after its launch in India. With its features and specifications that do not go far behind the high-end smartphones at a lower price, the device is considered to be a good deal.
Xiaomi Mi A1 sports a 5.5-inch full high-definition display. Its body is covered by an all-aluminium material. Internal specifications include a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4-gigabyte RAM, 64-gigabyte internal memory, 3,080-milliampere battery. The phone has a microSD card slot, USB Type-C port and a headphone amplifier that can support up to 6000 ohms.

Major features of Xiaomi Mi A1 to compete with premium handsets are the main camera in a dual setup which has a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, 5-megapixel front camera and a fingerprint sensor at the back panel. The smartphone will arrive with Android 7.1.2 Nougat on board.
Xiaomi Mi A1 pre-orders begin on Saturday, October 7, at authorised Xiaomi retails stores in Causeway Point and Suntec City.
