There is a good news for Twilight fans. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart could reunite and give life to vampire couple, Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, on the big screen again.
The five films that are based on the best-selling novels of Stephenie Meyer have been a huge success since its first release in 2008. The much-awaited film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 released worldwide in November 2012, marking an end to the popular vampire-themed fantasy film series.
In an interview with Screen Daily, Lionsgate co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger admitted that the studio is open to another movie in the Twilight saga. He said: "It's a possibility. Not a certainty but it's a possibility. It's about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we're here for her."
Adding on, Wachsberger recalled how Pattinson was chosed for the lead role. He revealed: "Twilight was a game changer for everyone involved."
"Robert Pattinson only came in three weeks before shoot," Wachsberger continued. "An assistant, who has subsequently become a very successful executive, said, 'There's this guy called Rob Pattinson from the fourth Harry Potter...' I said, 'Well, let's fly him in from London'.
"He did his screentest and he got the job. I'm not going to tell you how little the salary was on the first one but of course lawyers were there to renegotiate deals following its success," he said.
