American rapper, Kesha is finally gathering the scattered pieces of her story and taking her life back after all the 'Dr Lukes' drama. The 29-year-old has reportedly booked several performances and appearances at various concerts.
However, Kesha's plan doesn't seem to fly so soon as her first concert has been abandoned by Dr Luke's label, Kemosabe Records. As per reports, the pop star will not be performing at Bill Board Music Awards 2016 on May 22, following the revocation of approval from Kesha's aegis brand, Kemosabe Records.
"Kesha accepted an invitation to perform on the show and she received written approval from Dr. Luke's record label, Kemosabe Records," Dick Clark productions said in a statement. "Kemosabe subsequently rescinded its approval following a media report on Wednesday May 11 regarding Kesha's appearance on the BBMAs. Unfortunately, Kesha and Kemosabe have since been unable to come to an agreement for Kesha to perform on the show."
While no other detail on disapproval has been revealed, Dick Clark productions, which produces Billboard Music Awards, seems quite hopeful on the situation. "Dick Clark productions has a long standing relationship with Kesha. We hope that the parties can come to an arrangement such that we can continue that long standing relationship with a performance by Kesha on the Billboard Music Awards stage on May 22nd."
