New Korean boy band Wanna One proved their popularity by dominating Korean music charts and winning their first ever TV music show trophy.
According to Korea's Gaon Chart, Wanna One's debut album "To Be One" topped the weekly charts covering the period August 6 to 12, or just a week after it was released on August 7.
"To Be One" grabbed first place on Gaon's album chart while the title track "Energetic" is No. 1 on the download, digital and social charts.
Upon the album's release, "Energetic" topped various music charts in Korea including Melon, Mnet, Bugs and Naver.
The album also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's World Albums chart and earned first-place rankings on iTunes Top Albums chart in 11 countries.
Wanna One won their first ever TV music show trophy on "Show Champion" on August 16 and bagged their second win the following day on "M Countdown."
The appearance of Wanna One delivered the highest rating of 1.218 percent for "Show Champion" since the TV program started in 2012, according to Soompi.
Wanna One also brought the highest rating for the season when they appeared on "Saturday Night Live Korea" Season 9 last August 12.
The boys have snagged various endorsement deals including cosmetic brand Innisfree, performed at the first concert and appeared on TV shows.
According to Daily Star and Soompi, it is estimated that Wanna One will earn about 30 billion won ($26.29 million) for this year.
The report said to date, the boy band has earned $17.6 million from various deals.
Their album has sold 400,000 copies in the first week alone that translates to about $65 million. The band's "Wanna One Premiere Show-Con" event earned about $2.6 million.
The total revenue of Wanna One will be divided among CJ E&M (25 percent), YMC Entertainment (25 percent) and the remaining 50 percent will be split between the boys and their agencies.
Each member is estimated to get about $659,015 in earnings.
