The producer of romantic melodrama W starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo, has extended an apology for flashing an actual phone number in a recently aired episode. The 11-digit number reportedly turned out to be a real phone number which was being used by someone.
As per reports, in the 13th episode of the MBC drama, Lee Jong Suk was apparently seen reaching out to Han Hyo Joo through a call. While Hyo Joo is about to pick up the phone, the scene gets focused on the mobile screen where the number can be eyed clearly. The PD relayed that it is their mistake that the episode went live without the number being blurred out.
Meanwhile, the owner of the number faced great discomfort with the recent telecast. As per Allkpop report, many of the actor's fans dialed the number in anticipation and hoped to hear Jong Suk's voice. It is said that more than a hundred calls were made on the phone. Expressing his frustration, the owner grieved on his Kakao Talk status, stating : "I am not Lee Jong Suk from 'W'. I am receiving more than 300 calls. Please do not call me..."
The producer stated that they have reached out to the owner and has personally apologized for their mistake. The makers also announced that they will be making the necessary edition in the future broadcast of the particular episode.
