All is not well between American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston. The 35-year-old actor wants to go public with their romance but the Bad Blood hitmaker is disagreeing to it.
A source told The Sun: "Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private. Tom's need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable."
"She tried to be OK with it in the beginning but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons. Taylor is an independent young woman and doesn't feel like she needs a boyfriend to make her feel complete," the insider added.
Reports that Swift and Hiddleston are dating started making rounds after The Sun released photos of the two walking hand-in-hand on a beach, said to be in Rhode Island. Adding on, the Blank Space singer can be seen kissing the actor as well.
Hiddleston had previously expressed his feelings for the Red singer. The Night Manager star told The Hollywood Reporter: "Well, um. How best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking."
"That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt," he added.
Meanwhile, Swift has a history of dating high-profile celebrities including Calvin Harris, One Direction star Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Zac Efron and Conor Kennedy. During an interview with Glamour UK magazine, the Shake It Off singer admitted that she does not find it easy having a boyfriend. She said: "There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I'm really busy, so I can't. And it's a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need."
"It's kind of a sad way I got there, though, being shamed into it. What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think its fair," she added.
