Star Awards celebrates its new format this year. Mediacorp has come up with the new edition with slight changes in the lineup and broadcasting.
The awards ceremony which recalls its inception in the year 1994, marks its 22nd installment in 2016, with official hash tag #SA2016SG.
The new format (Part 1 & Part 2) sees a re-shuffle of the awards streamlined to 19 parts, with more entertaining skits and overseas artists' appearances on both parts of the show. The Top 10 Most Popular Female Award was presented in Part 1 whereas Top 10 Most Popular Male Award will be presented in Part 2. Backstage Achievement awards is separated from the main ceremony.
While the first part of Star Awards 2016 saw its culmination last night, the second edition will be showcased on 24 April. The Part 2 ceremony will be broadcasted live, 7 PM onwards on Mediacorp's Channel 8 and Channel U, followed by post show party.
