South Korean actor Song Joong Ki has opened up about his passion for acting. The 30-year-old revealed he will not be taking a break from showbiz anytime soon.
In an interview with Vogue Korea, Joong Ki, who is well known for his role as Captain Yoo Shi-Jin in the hit series, Descendants of the Sun, admitted he loves his job. He said: "I hit 30 while I was in the military. Looking back, my 20s were spent acting, so when I entered my 30s, I became really hungry for it."
He added: "I can't tell you how much I wanted to act then. I still feel that way now. I'm not tired, and I don't even want to take a break. I've rested from acting enough when I was in the military."
Meanwhile, Joong Ki recently attended his 2016 Asia Tour Fan Meeting in Wuhan, China and the actor held a short Q&A session with his fans. During the session, he was asked what he would have been doing if he did not become an actor. He replied: "If I did not become an actor, I would have become Lee Kwang Soo's manager."
"Giving is something that I feel I will have to continuously do in the future," he added.
Joong Ki had previously praised Kwang Soo for making a guest appearance in the first episode of the South Korean drama series. He said: "We've always been close, so it was very comfortable filming. He was unable to sleep at all because he came after filming 'Running Man' up to the night before the day of his [cameo] filming, but he really did his best. He's my friend, but I was really touched and grateful."
