As if we needed more proof regarding Song Joong-ki's respect and devotion to his bride-to-be, the actor has reportedly refused roles in K-dramas and instead has decided to spend time planning his wedding with Song Hye-kyo.

As noted by website Soompi, a news outlet reported on September 13 that Song Joong-k had turned down a casting offer from 'Signal' writer Kim Eun-hee's upcoming Netflix original drama 'Kingdom.' He has also been refusing other offers to focus on his wedding in October.

Song Joong-ki's agency Blossom Entertainment has said, "Song Joong-ki made a final decision to turn down 'Kingdom.' Nothing has been confirmed yet for his next project." On the other hand, a source from the drama said, "We will begin filming soon after casting is complete. Originally, filming was going to start in September, but in the process of increasing the quality, it will not begin in October."

It is highly likely that the role offered to the 'Descendants of the Sun' actor was of the lead character. His refusal means the production team and casting department will take some time to consider a replacement and finalise him. Netflix's 'Kingdom' will also be fully pre-produced and will likely be released in the latter half of the next year.

Speaking of acting, Song Joong-ki's friend, actor Park Bo-gum recently expressed his desire of wanting to share screen space with his friend. As noted in another Soompi article, Park Bo-gum was on the red carpet for the 2017 Seoul Drama Awards on September 7. He was asked to express his thoughts on Song Joong-ki's wish of wanting to act with Park Bo-gum; that he had mentioned during last year's Seoul Drama Awards.

In response to this, Park Bo-gum said, "If I were to have the opportunity to work with Joong Ki, playing brothers would be good, but anything would be great as long as it was with Joong Ki."Bo-gum's reply was aired on South Korean TV programme 'Entertainment Weekly,' on September 8.

Song Joong-ki had said on September 8, 2016 at the Seoul Drama Awards, "It would be great to play brothers some time, or even two guys that fight over the same girl. Regardless, I would like to work with [Park Bo-gum] in a project."

Park Bo-gum also congratulated the SongSong couple on their forthcoming marriage at the Seoul Drama Awards. "I wish you and Song Hye Kyo much happiness together in the future. Although it's a little early, congratulations on your marriage," he said. Bo-gum won the best actor in a drama award for the KBS2 drama 'Love in the Moonlight.'

Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo are all set to wed on October 31, this year.
