Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's fans around the world are eagerly waiting for their favourite couple to wed soon. The 35-year-old actress and Joong Ki shocked their fans around the world by confirming their relationship recently.
The couple will be tying the knot at South Korea's Shilla Hotel on October 31.
The 31-year-old actor and Hye Kyo shot to fame after starring in Descendants of the Sun. In the hit drama, Joong Ki plays the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprises the role of doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon. The series, which was one of the most successful of Korean shows in recent years, was sold to 32 countries and translated to 32 different languages.
Meanwhile, Joong Ki had admitted he is very excited to marry Hye Kyo. During an appearance on JTBC's Newsroom, he gushed about his wife-to-be and discussed his new film Battleship Island. He said: "Since I have two big events happening this year, I think I'm spending the best summer so far. My movie has already been released, and the other event is my wedding."
Adding on, during an interview, the Running Man star's father talked about their wedding. He said, as quoted by Soompi: "[Song Joong Ki] is at the best age to get married so I'm glad he's engaged. As parents, we've decided to respect our son's decision. People were saying I was against their marriage, but that's a misunderstanding."
He added: "Now that my son will be having a stable family after marriage, I hope he works even harder to become an actor who can also be responsible for his household. I think my son will be able to achieve that."
