Descendants of the Sun star Song Joong-ki is one of the top most searched Asian celebrities in the internet now. Rumours of his relationship and wedding with co-star Song Hye-kyo and bromance with actor Park Bo-gum are the topics that get the most hits.
Like Suzy Bae and Lee Min-ho, people are always hungry for more information about the SongSong couple. However, away from all the glitz, glamour and gossip, Song Joong-ki also has a tender side of helping others in need.
Website Koreaboo published a report mentioning that actor Song Joong-ki had volunteered at Seoul National University Children's Hospital. He also arranged for a pizza-party for all the tiny tots and donated 100 million Won (approximately $87,000 USD) to the hospital. The event was organised by Dominos Pizza, which is endorsed by Song Jong-ki. The actor also donated the generous amount of funds through Domino's charity fund.
To some readers it may appear that this was some type of self-promotion by the Dominos group, who used a popular actor like Song Joong-ki helping kids in a hospital. However, the important thing is the kids were happy and so were the parents.
Koreaboo also notes that this isn't the first time Song Joong-ki has shown generosity and kindness towards children who are in need. The actor also donated 95 million Won (approximately $82,580 USD) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in August and September, last year in addition to another 100 million Won to UNICEF, and 20 million Won (approximately $17,385 USD) to House of Sharing as well.
As for the bromance between Joong-ki and Park Bo-gum, it has became even spicier. Bo-gum was hosting a fan meet in Singapore on Saturday and Song Joong-ki was a guest there. According to a tweet from SJK Official Singapore Fan Club, Park Bo-gum said "I love you" to Song Joong-ki, as noted by Mobi Picker. This made the latter very uncomfortable, but fans no doubt found this highly amusing, especially Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-gum shippers.
Bogum said God Bless You and I Love You to Joongki, making him so shy XD

This isn't the first time Park Bo-gum has expressed such thoughts about the 'Descendants of the Sun' star. In a Thailand fan meet, Bo-gum had said he would have liked to date Joong-ki if he were a girl and added he does want to be with him. This added fuel to rumours whether Joong-ki and Bo-gum are gay. However, Song Joong-ki actually got up and declared that he loves Lee Kwang-soo more.
Having said all that, both are probably just very good friends and Park Bo-gum is a bit mischievous as a person and likes to tease audiences who want to see the two actors together.
