Hye Kyo and Joong Ki shocked their fans around the world by confirming their relationship recently. The two announced that they will tie the knot on October 31.
The duo shot to fame after starring in Descendants of the Sun. In the hit drama, Joong Ki plays the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprises the role of doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon. The series, which was one of the most successful of Korean shows in recent years, was sold to 32 countries and translated to 32 different languages.
During an interview, he gushed about Hye Kyo. He was quoted as saying in Soompi: "I definitely have to get married at some point, and I just think some things are more important than popularity. The biggest reason is because it's Song Hye Kyo. Since it's Song Hye Kyo, I figured it'd be great to spend the rest of my life with her."
"Ever since I was young, I wasn't really planning on getting married at a late age. Things really fell into place," he added.
