Singapore model and actress Sheila Sim is all set to get married to her 36-year-old boyfriend this year, after accepting his proposal on New Year's eve. Local media reported that the pair got to know each other through a dating app last year and right after six months the actress was proposed to.
Although Sim has posted on social media about her relationship, she did not reveal her boyfriend's identity online. All that has been known about her Singaporean husband-to-be is that he works in the banking industry, and is currently posted overseas. According to Sim, her would-be partner was not aware that she was a celebrity when they first met.

The 32-year-old actress told Shin Min Daily News that she was attracted to his simple nature and thoughtful ways. Sim also said that if her "on-screen family" of 118 wouldn't have approved him, she was ready to pull the plug on the relationship.
But, fortunately, Sim's '118' co-stars Chen Hanwei and Chew Chor Meng , who play her husband and brother respectively in the series, were quite impressed by the boy when he visited them on set.
Toggle quoted Chen saying that the pair is "very compatible in terms of their height and looks". He also said Sim's boyfriend had told him about the proposal before it happened and after accepting the ring, the actress also gave him the news.
Sim's boyfriend proposed her in last year December during their ski holiday in Hokkaido, Japan. The actress told the Chinese daily that he gave her a blue sapphire sparkler as "he knows I love blue sapphires and I'm someone who likes colour in my life".
The couple has also bought a house together but they did not reveal any further details about it yet.
