Selena Gomez is reportedly hoping to give Canadian singer/songwriter Justin Bieber another chance. Rumours that the two might be back together started on 23 March after the former Disney star showed up at the Baby singer's Los Angeles concert to support him.
"She really wants to be with him and will give him a chance when their schedules work, which is most likely after their individual tours finish, but she isn't going to sacrifice her career for a guy," a source told Hollywood Life. "She wants to be with Justin, but on mutual terms and not only what he wants!"
"Justin wants Selena to put her career on the back burner and be his girlfriend and have a career second. Anyone can imagine how this is going over with Selena," the insider added.
Gomez had previously revealed that she is unhappy with the constant scrutiny about her relationship with Bieber. She told W magazine: "I'm so exhausted. I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can't do it anymore."
"To me it was: I'm 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that. Then I got my heart broken and I cared. Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things. I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall. I didn't know where to go," Gomez added.
Meanwhile, the Boyfriend singer talked about Gomez and their bond when he appeared on The Bert Show. He said (according to the People): "I just want her to be happy. I love [Selena]. We're friends still. We needed time to grow for ourselves and we were like, 'Maybe we'll come back together in the future,' and then it ended up being so long and we just grew apart and we're not the same people anymore."
