Three Samsung Galaxy C series smartphones are now being tested for Android 7.0 Nougat. Galaxy C5, Galaxy C7 and Galaxy C9 Pro are expected to get the over-the-air (OTA) update of Nougat in September.
Samsung Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000), Galaxy C7 (SM-C7000) and Galaxy C9 Pro (SM-C9000) will soon be getting the official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware via OTA update. A tipster on Twitter with handle @mmddj_china unveiled that the said devices' Nougat test is under way.
Galaxy C5 will have the next the Android build number C5000ZCU1BQH2, Galaxy C7 C7000ZCU2BQH1 and Galaxy C9 Pro C9000ZCU1BQH2. It remains unconfirmed if the devices will get the Nougat update this month. Nevertheless, the remaining weeks in August may give Samsung enough time to evaluate the performance of the software and make it available by September. Samsung's Galaxy A series phones—Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017)—have just started to be updated with Nougat this month.

Android 7.0 Nougat comes with a bunch of useful features. Data Saver automatically reduces app activities running in the background once the phone's monthly data allowance is running low. Nougat also makes a reply option available across all incoming messages so users can immediately respond right when the message arrives without ever launching any apps.
Quick app switching, meanwhile, makes it easier for users to switch between two apps last used. By double tapping the multitasking button, switching app has never become this seamless and useful, most especially when copying and pasting texts.
