Unlocked Moto G4 Plus users in the US are in for some great news as the official Android 7.0 Nougat over-the-air (OTA) update has started rolling out for the handset in the country. The update seems quite big, given its massive file size of 741MB.
All G4 Plus devices bearing model number XT1644 are eligible for this update, which brings numerous new features including multi-window mode, inline notification replies, and Doze mode enhancements, among others. The update is aimed at improving the overall user experience with enhanced usability features added to it.
As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may not yet be available for all the unlocked G4 Plus units in the country at the same time. Those who cannot wait for its official release in their country or region, may go ahead and check for the same manually via device Settings > About Phone and then tap on System Update to download it.
If the update indeed shows up, just ensure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network in order to evade potential data charges on your cellular network.
