Moto G4 Plus gets Android 7.1 Nougat OTA with official build NPJ25.93-11 Motorola

Avid Moto G4 and G4 Plus owners are in for some great news as the highly-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update is now available for these models via build number NPJ25.93-11, for manual download and installation. However, users must note that the new Nougat firmware is supported on Moto G4 XT1624 and G4 Plus XT1643 models only.

Users have been warned against attempting to install this update on unsupported devices, as it could brick or cause permanent damage to the handset. You will need ADB and Fastboot tools to be preinstalled on your computer in order to flash this firmware manually.

All other countries where the G4 is available for sale have started receiving the Nougat update in a phased manner, except for Germany where the handset is expected to go live by January end.
