There is no doubt that model and actress Song Ji-hyo is one of the most popular and much-loved personalities in South Korean television and the entertainment industry. She recently participated in a photo shoot with 1st Look and also talked about her career goals and the pressures of acting.
As noted by website Soompi, Song Ji-hyo talked about choice of acting roles and said, "A lot of people ask me what kind of character I want, but I honestly can't pick just one. There are so many out there that I haven't had a chance to take on before. I think I'd be happy as an actress if I could just continuously try out new characters. I'm still hungry to act and expand my repertoire, and I don't think that hunger will ever be sated."

An actor should keep experimenting because choosing to play it safe and sticking to one particular character-type means creative death. Song Ji-hyo also talked about the importance of quality and depth in acting, along with feeling sleep deprived.
"Of course I want to look pretty in front of the camera, but what's more important than that is the actual performance I put on when cameras roll. There are a lot of times when I end up feeling sleep deprived because getting hair and makeup done takes a lot more time than people think. So sometimes, I cut down on that a lot and try to get more sleep to be in my best condition," she said.
Song Ji-hyo began acting from the year 2002. Her first appearance was in a cameo role in the SBS television drama series, 'Age of Innocence.' The next year she made her feature film debut with the horror film 'Wishing Stairs.' In 2006 she appeared as the second lead in the hit television series 'Princess Hours.'
2010 onwards she has been a regular cast member of popular variety show 'Running Man,' and has also appeared in many other television series, movies and even her own show called, 'Song Ji-hyo's Beauty View.'
As to what she does when not working, Ji-hyo revealed, "When I'm free, I'm usually cleaning up my room, catching up on TV shows, watching movies, reading books, and sleeping. Time seems to fly when I'm at home."
Song Ji-hyo's pictorial with 1st Look will be available to buy from September 28. Meanwhile, the actress has finished filming her scenes for her upcoming South Korean romantic comedy movie 'Wind Wind Wind.' It's directed by Lee Byeong-heon and stars Lee Sung-min, Shin Ha-kyun, Song Ji-hyo and Lee El, and is expected to release sometime in 2017.
