'Running Man' member, singer and actor Ji Suk-jin announced that he'd like to have more children without asking his wife first. Her reply was both hilarious and cute.
Website Soompi notes that on June 27, Ji Suk-jin appeared as a guest on the quiz show '1 vs. 100.' Here he talked about how he met his wife, Ryu Su-jung. The quiz show '1 vs. 100' was originally created by Dutch-based media company Endemol; having variants in various countries. In South Korea it is aired on KBS2.
Ji Suk-jin revealed that it was fellow 'Running Man' member Yoo Jae-suk, who first introduced him to his wife. "I was first introduced to her by Yoo Jae Suk. I liked her alone at first, but Yoo Jae Suk kept on pushing for me so we were able to set a date and meet," the comedian and TV personality said.
Ji Suk-jin then proceeded to reveal a hilarious exchange where his wife gave him a piece of her mind. Ji Suk-jin, being a concerned citizen of South Korea, was aware of its declining birth rate and wanted to do something to remedy that situation.
The comedian revealed that he had promised that if he gets first in radio DJ ratings, "I will show my allegiance to our country that is experiencing a low birth rate." That is all fine except he had not asked for his wife's consent yet.
"I said that without getting permission from my wife, and once she heard that, she told me not to get first." This induced laughter from everyone. Ji Suk-jin is always known to be a simple and good-natured human being; often speaking what comes to his mind and embarrassing himself and others, in a good way.
It appears that Ji Suk-jin's wife is quite a tough person who knows how to keep her husband in check. The couple, who have an eight-year age gap, have a lot of respect and affection for each other. This became apparent in the January 22 episode of 'Running Man,' as noted by Soompi.
Ji Suk-jin and Ryu Su-jung had a remind wedding, attended by his 'Running Man' friends. Su-jung read a letter she had written for the ceremony which had her husband fighting back tears as she said, "To my loving husband. It's already been 20 years since I met you as a young and immature 24-year-old, and you went from my 'Oppa' to Hyun Woo's dad after I gave birth to Hyun Woo."
She had added, "Though we used to fight a lot, these days, we're busy making sure the other is taking their medicine instead of fighting. You are my best friend for life, protecting us from the perilous world, coming running whenever I call, and knowing so much about me."
She finished the letter saying, "They say there's no road to happiness, that the road itself is happiness. As long as our family stays on that road and looks straight on as we go forward, our life will be shining and beautiful. Please keep sharing with me your unchanging friendship. I love you."
