McDonalds staff in UK go on strike for first time ever

Workers at fast food chain McDonalds are staging their first-ever strike in the UK on 3 September, in a dispute over pay, zero-hour contracts and working conditions. The Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union allege that the fast food chain is failing to scrap zero-hour contracts and offer a wage of £10 an hour to some its staff as a punishment for joining a union. Spectators suffer serious injuries after car sprays burning fuel at motor event

Spectators at a Australian Motor event suffered serious burns after a car sprayed ignited fuel into the crowd on 3 September. ABC reported 11 people were harmed at the Alice Springs Inland Dragway, with at least one person still in a critical condition.A Facebook live video caught crowds running away from the fire.The event was cancelled due to fire safety concerns.  Sep 4, 2017

Woman pulls gun in fight over a notebook in Walmart

Four women got into a fight over a notebook in the back to school section of a Michigan Walmart on 28 August, a fight that ended when one of the women pulled a gun. None of the women have been identified, but police and witnesses told local media that the woman who pulled the gun did so after the other women had pushed her aside and pulled her daughters hair. 12 Brits arrested in Spain for smuggling cocaine in speedboats to sell to Magaluf clubbers

14 people including 12 British nationals were arrested in Magaluf for drug dealing. Police seized 3kg of cocaine as well as methamphetamine and cannabis, over 100,000 euro in cash and four vehicles. The dealers reportedly smuggled the drugs to the holiday resort in speedboats. The suspects were working for local bars and clubs and are predominantly from Liverpool and Manchester. Sep 3, 2017
