Arctic ice on record low

Nasas report on the summer melt mentions that temperatures have been moderate through the season, in some regions, they say, it was actually cooler than average, but the 2017 minimum ice level– the amount of ice that remains in the Arctic Ocean after the summer melt– average is 1.58 million square kilometres less than the 1981-2010 average minimum. The Raging Bull boxing legend Jake LaMotta dies aged 95

Jake LaMotta, known as The Raging Bull, has died at the age of 95 on Sept. 19. LaMottas daughter, Christi, posted the news on Facebook. Giacobbe Jake LaMotta was nicknamed The Raging Bull for his rough and brawling style. The former World Middleweight Champion had many tough battles against some of the best middleweights of all time, including his six-fight rivalry against Sugar Ray Leonard. LaMotta finished his career with a record of 83-19-4, with 30 wins by KO. LaMottas story inspired the movie Raging Bull, starring Robert De Niro. Hollywood stars paid tribute to one of the greatest boxers in history.  Sep 21, 2017

Londons parliament square to get first ever female statue

A statue of Dame Millicent Fawcett will be unveiled in Parliament Square this year to celebrate the upcoming 100th year anniversary of women being granted the right to vote.The statue was a result of campaigning by feminist activist Caroline Criado-Perez.She started a petition online when she noticed the area was home to 11 statues of famous political men and no women.
