UK footballers are conditioned not to speak out like Collin Kaepernick

US sports stars across the country took to one knee during the national anthem recently as a form of protest. The move has ignited a huge row in the US, with even President Donald Trump weighing in on the issue. However, despite this high profile demonstration, some do not think this trend will become international. Paul Mortimer, from anti-racism group Kick It Out, claims that British footballers are conditioned not to speak about national issues. He said, At the moment we have cultures and societies where fear seems to be the main thing, people are frightened to talk because there are no procedures in place that will protect them when they do talk. Hundreds of anti-brexit protesters march on Labour party conference

Hundreds of anti-brexit protesters descended on the first day of Labours annual party conference in Brighton on Sunday. Protesters are calling for a u-turn on the referendum decision to leave the European Union. They chanted Exit Brexit outside the venue where the four day Labour party conference is being held. Leader of the Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has said he will listen Labour members who wish to remain in the single market. Meanwhile 40 senior Labour figures have signed an open letter calling for Jeremy Corbyn to commit to staying in the custom union and single market once Britain has left the EU. Sep 25, 2017

A pilot died when attempting a high-altitude loop during an airshow in Terracina, Italy. The Itallian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon crashed into the sea, killing the pilot on impact. Sep 25, 2017

Atlas V NROL-42 launch highlights

America successfully launched a secret spy satellite on 24 September. The NROL-42 satellite was carried into space by an Atlas V rocket. The spy satellite is the latest addition to the fleet of satellites developed and operated by the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office). The NROs mission patch for the spy satellite displays a grizzly bear, ten stars and an impression of the Atlas V rocket ascending to orbit. The spy satellite marked the third NRO payload to be launched in 2017. Two more NRO missions are reportedly slated to be launched by the end of this year, with yet another satellite, NROL-52 expected to be launched via an Atlas V rocket in October Sep 25, 2017

The Jacksonville Jaguars team mascot, Jaxson de Ville, jumped from the roof of Londons Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 24 September, as the National Football League celebrated its 10th year hosting games in the United Kingdom capital city.
