Red Velvet's Wendy's weight loss has worried her fan following. The 23-year-old singer, along with her band members appeared on the July 12 episode of Show Champion, and performed their hit new single Red Flavour.
The viewers were quick to criticize Wendy for her weight. One fan on YouTube, Rucel Velasquez stated: "I dont like seeing Wendy this thin. It breaks my heart. I want her to be healthy and happy. I hate those who fat-shamed her before! Screw you all and your f**ked up standards on womans body. But nonetheless, I love their comeback! Red velvet fighting! Be healthy and happy."
Another user, Daniel Castro wrote: "Wendy reminds me a stick in this stage lol sorry."
Previously, Wendy admitted that she is always on a diet, during an appearance on tvN's variety show Raid the Convenience Store. She confessed that she offers her food to her fellow group members eat.
The band members — Yeri, Irene, and Joy — showed shock in the statement. One of them said: "I thought she was just being nice to us by offering food to us, was it for satisfaction?... We're going to get fat if we eat too."
Wendy added: "I used to be fat. But I lost a lot of weight now. If I eat a certain amount, I get anxious."
