Korean rapper and "Gangnam Style" sensation Psy has added another achievement to his career.

Psy was given by YouTube the Diamond Creator Award, or Diamond Play Button, for reaching 10 million subscribers under his own YouTube channel.

YouTube rewards its creators with awards depending on the number of subscribers. Silver Creator Award is given for reaching 100,000 subscribers while the Gold Creator Award is for one million subscribers.

"Reach 10 million subscribers, and you'll be awarded the Diamond Creator Award. It's the highest award there is, and shows you're one of the biggest creators on YouTube," according to the YouTube Creators page.

Psy posted a video on his Twitter page to show his Diamond Creator Award.

"Wondering what this is? I myself found out what it is just now. My official YouTube account has just obtained 10 million subscribers. They told me that I'm the first individual artist to have that many subscribers. I'm very thankful and grateful for this," he said.

He said YouTube has helped him to reach out to fans in other countries.

"Actually. YouTube to me is an excellent platform and a bridge, which allowed me to extend my decade-long career as a singer in foreign countries as well," he said. "I promise you I'll upload some more contents even at off-seasons from now on."

Psy holds the record of the most viewed video on YouTube with the viral hit "Gangnam Style," which has 2.85 billion views to date since July 15, 2012.

"Gangnam Style" became the first YouTube video to reach 1 billion views in December 2012.

Psy released his eight studio album "4X2=8" last May 10 containing 10 songs that featured mostly artists under YG Entertainment.

The music videos for the songs "I Luv It" and "New Face" have garnered views of 35.41 million and 36.11 million, respectively.
